Betsey has worked her entire career in nonprofit organizations – from a public hospital, a children’s museum, an outdoor education group, a nonprofit consulting group and most recently an afterschool program for high school students. “I have loved every experience and learned so much from my colleagues over the years.” Betsey relocated from Florida to Cary 12 years ago with her three youngest children who are now all grown. She has spent most of her life on the east coast – growing up on Cape Cod; undergraduate work at Rochester Institute of Technology (NY); a master’s certificate in Nonprofit Management at the University of Tampa (FL); and most recently completed coursework in paralegal studies at UNC. In addition to her nonprofit work, Betsey is an active community volunteer. And while her softball career is behind her, she has recently started hiking and loves working in her garden.
