Game Over HD is HD Reach’s gaming club for adults impacted by Huntington’s Disease. In line with our vision, we at HD Reach plan to use this as a supportive tool for anyone impacted by HD to access the help and support, they need while spending time with HD Reach staff or trained Game Leads. We hope to facilitate a community among adults who face unique challenges with HD and to create a safe virtual environment for gamers to connect. We hope you hit the start button and allow us to join your adventure.

Game Over HD FAQ
FAQ
- Game Over HD will be open to all within the United States and Canada
- Element will be utilized as the chat program. It is a secure, encrypted, chat channel that will be utilized for HD Reach staff to monitor and create safe rooms for members to chat and connect/use during gameplay. Each game session will have an HD Reach staff member either present or available at the time of play (if led by a Game Lead).
- Game times are typically 2 hour increments. Members are welcome to come and go as they please but if a Game Lead or HD Reach member is not told about an individual being delayed hopping in, Game Night is cancelled after 20 minutes of no shows for that night.
- Communication in Element is welcomed anytime but HD Reach monitoring will be during HD Reach hours- M-F 8am-6pm or during Game Night times. Outside of these hours, please utilize 988, your local crisis contact, or 911 if experiencing an emergency.
- To be a Game Lead, you must have a minimum of 6 Game Nights attended and attend a virtual 1 hour and 30 minute training with HD Reach team.
- Co-Lead is a supportive person who has the 6 minimum Game Night requirement and works to send reminders in the chat/assist Game Leads in their game times without having to facilitate/run their own chat.
- Goal is to have a 17 and under group in the future after the pilot of the 18+ group. Stay tuned for announcements and changes via our social media networks and our monthly newsletter by email.
What is a Game Lead?
These individuals have attended a minimum of 6 Game Nights and have gone through safety and facilitation training with HD Reach. They host their own game times while maintaining a safe and supportive environment. They update HD Reach staff regularly to communicate concerns and provide feedback on program engagement.
Game Over HD meets multiple times a month via an encrypted application called Element. It has voice, video, and text capabilities. As we know there are other options, we felt the virtual safety behind this application makes sense for our program.
